Pride Hinders Blessing

September 20, 2024 Posted by mkbevan Covenant, Character, Community, Prophecy

Notes from the personal journal of Mark Bevan 12/15/14

One day God speaking to me about our pride hindering his blessing. This is what he said.

“Son, Do you see how it is possible to hear and not hear? To see and not see? My children are deaf, dumb and blind my son. Why? They see the light but fail to perceive it. They hear the word but fail to understand it. Why?

Pride!

Wanting things done their way. The way they perceive that it should be. Instead of seeking me and asking how I see it, they say in their hearts “I have understanding! I am wise!”

Instead of believing my word they find ways to rationalize and quantify Me and My ways. This is religion. In essence they make the word of no effect and take away it’s power to bring forth the kingdom.
The gospel is the power of God unto salvation to all who believe, to the Jew first and also to the Greek. To believe is to know, to have revelation of, to understand by spiritual discernment what is the truth. It is not worldly knowledge.

There are some who foolishly believe that they are my children, when they have never met me. Like an orphan they have heard of me, but we have never met. These are deceived, and go their own way, making me into the father / god they want me to be. They fall short of the truth and continue to walk in darkness, stumbling, tossed to and fro by every wind of doctrine.

You can’t help these son, for they have chosen in their hearts not to receive truth. They can go no further in me until they choose to receive more light.

Some are happy and content in this place, but they will never find rest and peace, because they are always learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth. Why? Because of lack of searching? No because the only truth they can receive must fit in their box or they reject it. These have no discernment of spiritual things.

Many multitudes walk in this place son. This is why the scripture says many are called but few chosen. Few are not willing to seek out the truth for themselves, but instead go after the wisdom of man for the answers to spiritual problems.

They can only perceive spiritual things in a carnal mindset. This is why people say miracles are rare. They understand not that interaction between the spiritual and carnal world is constant. But they perceive it not. There for when they see it manifest they are astounded. When in fact it should be the norm.
Seeing they see not.

Which is easier? Winning the lottery or receiving a miracle from God? Neither, they both require the same faith. Which is easier to believe for? That depends upon your spiritual perception. How do you see the kingdom? How do you see yourself in the kingdom? How do you see me? If your heart says God loves miracles, but hates the lottery, then it would be very easy to believe for a miracle, but not for the lottery. However, if your heart could perceive that I could use the lottery to bring a miracle to my children, then believing for both is easy.

My children you must be willing to expand your perception. Seek me for more light. Change your perspective. Come up here. Let go of your natural eyes that I might give you the eyes of an eagle. That seeing you might see.

Your religion binds you. You say in your heart I have no leaven, no religion, but I say in this is pride and vanity. And this cripples your ability to hear and receive. Be humble my children, be humble!”
