Part 1: Two Kingdoms – Light and Darkness

To take a step into the wilderness implies that we are leaving a place which we are at least somewhat familiar with. Most of us walk through our life, doing our daily routine. Our understanding of the environment in which we live and even our perception of reality is limited to what we can see and are aware of. This holds true of both the natural world and spiritual kingdoms. In the natural, we know what we can see, hear, taste, touch, smell. However, we are often out of touch with things existing just over this horizon. If our eyes have not been opened to some area of truth through direct observation, then we are left to judge on what we believe, or another’s opinion of, whether something is indeed true or false. Since we live in a dark and fallen world, it is often difficult to know who or what is actually truth. What is truth? Pontius Pilot in his short discourse with Jesus (John 18:33-38), asked sarcastically, “What is truth?” He may not have understood Jesus, but what he did understand, was that in his view of the world (perspective), any supposed truth was something to be questioned at best. His world was full of lies, and he knew it.

Our human bodies exist in a realm ruled on the outside by nations and rulers. Government waring against government, neighbors waring against neighbors. Yet why so much war? Bob Marley does a great job of answering this question in the lyrics of his 1976 song, “War”.

“Until the philosophy which hold one race Superior and another inferior
is finally and permanently discredited and abandoned Everywhere is war, me say war.

That until there are no longer first class and second class citizens of any nation
Until the color of a man’s skin is of no more significance than the color of his eyes Me say war.”

War doesn’t originate out of the need to co-exist. It doesn’t originate out of love, truth or respect. It originates out of hate, lies, greed… evil. These are not the traits of governments in general, but they arise out of the evil hearts of unredeemed men.

For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Eph 6:12 

The apostle Paul is saying that even though we are beings with a fleshly body, our battle is not in a fleshly (earthly) kingdom, but in a spiritual kingdom which can only be discerned with spiritual eyes. This implies that we have a spiritual enemy, who is carrying out a plan to destroy us, but that plan may not be apparent to our natural senses. It could be said that, Satan works in the hearts of men to carry out his plan in the earth. However, what may not be apparent to our logical senses, is that in Satan’s ranks don’t operate as we might expect. There is no rule within his kingdom saying that his armies cannot attack one another. His goals are to kill, steal and destroy, and he will use any means necessary to achieve that end. So let’s put this into perspective. On earth, there exists two groups of people. Those redeemed by Christ, and those who are perishing. The two groups of people form two effectual corporate bodies (nations), each having their own head or government. One is led by Christ the Satan. That means two kingdoms rule both the natural and spiritual worlds as we know them. The Kingdom of God (Christ), and the Kingdom of Satan(Antichrist). It also means that some individual members of each kingdom make up all of the earthly kingdoms, governments, religions, political parties, nations, tribes and tongues. We need to begin to see the world we live within in the terms of light and darkness not good and bad. It is very possible for unredeemed people to do good, and it is just as possible for redeemed men to stumble and do evil.

Hence, for anyone to judge of a particular nation, political party, or even religion; that a group of individuals as a whole is good or bad is making a very bad assumption at best. In fact, often a spiritual power/principality of darkness is assigned to rule over such groups, within the ranks of Satan’s kingdom.

Then he said to me, “Do not fear, Daniel, for from the first day that you set your heart to understand, and to humble yourself before your God, your words were heard; and I have come because of your words. “But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me twenty-one days; and behold, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me, for I had been left alone there with the kings of Persia. Daniel 10:12-13

Here in the book of Daniel, we see an angel of God, referencing his battle with another spiritual being, who was given dominion over the physical kingdom of Persia. The angel goes on to say that when he, the angel returns to fight again, afterwords another principality will arise over a future kingdom of Greece.

Then he said, “Do you know why I have come to you? And now I must return to fight with the prince of Persia; and when I have gone forth, indeed the prince of Greece will come. Dan 10:20

 We must understand that while we may observe battles in the natural, the physical characters at work are only acting out the individual orders they have been given, by the one whom they serve. In times of war, children of light will continue to act with a Christlike nature despite the circumstances. They may be required to kill if needed, but even then, will do it with dignity, love, mercy and kindness. While a man with an evil heart will look for opportunities to do even greater evil.

Beasts

Early on in my walk, one night I awoke suddenly clearly hearing “Daniel 7:17!” The voice was very loud at first, and I wasn’t sure if I was awake or dreaming. It kept repeating, and I turned to see if my wife had heard it, but she was sound asleep. I tried to go back to sleep, but it kept ringing in my head. I had no idea what the verse said, and really wasn’t sure where or from who the voice came from. So I said, “Lord if this is you, bring it back to my memory tomorrow and I will look it up. But, let me go back to sleep now.” I’m a light sleeper anyway, which usually that sort of thing might have kept me up for hours, but it didn’t. In fact I fell right back asleep like a baby. I didn’t even remember it happened until late in the afternoon the next day. So I looked it up.

“Those great beasts, which are four, are four kings which arise out of the earth.”

Daniel 7:17

At the time, I had been saved for less than 2 years. Back then, I didn’t hear God like I do today, my spiritual hearing was not practiced. Yet researching that one verse changed my entire walk with Jesus, and eventually led to writing this book. In 2022, The Lord brought this back to my memory and told me the following.

“You’ve never asked why Daniel 7:17? That verse was important in Daniel’s day, but Daniel’s day is repeating son, in this time. Listen… Daniel began a free man in Jerusalem. He was carried away captive to Babylon by the Assyrians. At the end of seventy years, Babylon was conquered by Medio/Persia. Which is then conquered by Alexander the Great, then Rome. But why this verse? Because it was these 4 kings which you must be concerned with now.
The Jews which were taken to Babylon did not go willingly. Neither has the spiritual church gone willingly (into their tribulations of our day). Many stand against the tearony and evil works being done around them. Many cry out to me. Yes, I set this land of America as a refuge… for a time. Just as it will be again… for a time. But it was not the constitution of the United States protecting these people… it was my hand on a godly people. The constitution came out of the freedom of a free people. My people in America have not been enslaved by America, but what America has let in. Just like the Jews in Israel let in other gods and worshipped false idols. They have allowed, by their own actions, their freedom to be removed and a yoke of bondage placed on their neck. Just like in Nehemiah’s day, all they need to do is repent and all will be well… but they won’t…not yet. Therefore, once again I have a remnant who will. Who will come out of mystery Babylon. Who is she you ask? She is the harlot, the false church that worships man and other gods but not Me. She is the one who says it is ok to love any god and any thing, but not Me, not my son. She hates my ways, but claims to do her deeds in My name. To come out of her means to love the things I love and hate that which I hate.
So, who are these four beasts… four king(doms)? Russia, China, the United States and NATO. Russia & China are the Medio-Persian bear. They are working together yet divided. They will conquer America (Assyria.) They will walk in and take it through the open gate. But this new empire will be short lived, because of the destruction which will be done.  Then the “great one” will come forth like Alexander and he shall form the new Roman Empire/the United Nations, but this time as one throughout the world.
But this is the great part son. Two kingdoms are rising at the same time. One of the antichrist; the other My sons Kingdom which shall conquer the beast and harlot. Two opposing nations in the whole earth with all Israel united under the command of Christ.”

We’ll look at this harlot in a moment, but first we must understand the beasts, and God’s purposes in using them. Let’s look at what God says he will do for a nation of people that follows him.

“Now it shall come to pass, if you diligently obey the voice of the LORD your God, to observe carefully all His commandments which I command you today, that the LORD your God will set you high above all nations of the earth. Deuteronomy 28:1 “The LORD will cause your enemies who rise against you to be defeated before your face; they shall come out against you one way and flee before you seven ways. Deu 28:7 “Then all peoples of the earth shall see that you are called by the name of the LORD, and they shall be afraid of you.” Deuteronomy 28:10

Now, ask yourself, “Do these verses seem to align with America today?” If America is God’s people, have all our enemies run from before us. Have we won the wars we have fought lately? Vietnam, Afghanistan, Iraq, Ukraine… War on drugs, war on terror, war on disinformation… the list goes on and on! Or do the following verses make more sense.

“The LORD will cause you to be defeated before your enemies; you shall go out one way against them and flee seven ways before them; and you shall become troublesome to all the kingdoms of the earth. Deu 28:25 The alien who is among you shall rise higher and higher above you, and you shall come down lower and lower. 28:43 The LORD will make the plague cling to you until He has consumed you from the land which you are going to possess.  The LORD will strike you with consumption, with fever, with inflammation, with severe burning fever, with the sword, with scorching, and with mildew; they shall pursue you until you perish. Deu 28:22 “They shall besiege you at all your gates until your high and fortified walls, in which you trust, come down throughout all your land; and they shall besiege you at all your gates throughout all your land which the LORD your God has given you. Deu 28:52

Now I might be a pessimist in certain areas, but it sure seems for a long time now, America has been at war with nearly everyone around the world, even herself. That doesn’t really fall into the meaning of blessed, no matter how you look at it.

During the Covid Pandemic in the year 2020, a pastor by the name of Dana Coverstone began having dreams of what appeared as very apocalyptic towards the United States of America. One dream in particular caught my attention. Dana called it the Data Dream. I won’t go into the details here, but you can easily find it on youtube. What is interesting is the interpretation the Lord shared with me.

“Much information is being sent around the internet, that is not good for my people. Misinformation, lies, deceit, confusion and darkness. My people have fallen into this trap of the enemy. They have become ensnared by it, feeling alone and confused. Many lawless acts are perpetrated, uninhibited through this information service. This lawless behavior has stolen my people’s liberty in the name of liberty and freedom. But this is about to end. Those that are responsible are doing all they can to repair the damage before they are exposed. Much has been hidden in darkness. The lights represent the truth going out to the people. This is the data that Dana has seen in the dream. The truth cannot be held back or covered up forever. The people in the USA are beginning to see the truth and are beginning to question the lies they have been told. This is setting them free. However, freedom comes at great cost. The people must rise up and take responsibility to protect it.
Those who wish to keep the people in bondage will do anything and everything to ensure that the truth does not come out. But the light cannot be hidden. This light is going to overwhelm the system of darkness causing a great disruption and even more chaos.
The very name of liberty has been used to snare my people for too long and shall soon be brought low. Yes, this means that some liberty which Americans believe they have will be lost, but in the process the people will be set free from some of the political spirits of bondage holding them captive.
Capitol Hill represents the best and worst of America.  What was meant for good has become a viper’s nest. The heart of Babylon. From out of this nest the world has been terrorized for financial gain and power. My people have been fooled into thinking that this is a problem for one (political)party or another. No, it is a people problem, stemming from a sinful nature. Lawless men engaged in the most heinous crimes against mankind imaginable. No, America is not the only lawless nation, but has led the world in corruption for too long. America hides her works in darkness behind closed doors.
The breaking of the liberty bell is coming soon. It shall be identified when those who have used it for evil will be found out and brought to justice. This shall be very soon. This act will cause an overload in the system of darkness as light overwhelms it and my justice prevails. Sending a massive surge throughout the halls of Congress. Much chaos will come from this event, and many who have worshipped these corrupt politicians will be left in dire confusion. Those whom Dana saw standing around without shoes are the same that worship the beast of the political system of America. I am going to destroy the political spirit of America in one fell swoop. The hall of congress shall be split in half as the democratic process in America is destroyed forever. Her people have failed to uphold the godly values which are the fruit of liberty and have turned to evil enjoying the darkness rather than light.”

Notice the Lord again mentions a beast in regards to the political system of America. Beasts in the Bible, just as mentioned in Daniel, and again in Revelation, always refer to political kingdoms (empires) on the earth. Egypt, Greece, Medio/Persia, Rome, and Assyria. It is important to understand that Israel was conquered by the Babylonian empire under the leadership of Nebuchadnezzar, not the literal city of Babylon. Babylon was the capitol city, and often metaphorically represents the leadership of the Babylonian empire. We’ll talk more about the city of Babylon in the next chapter.

It is the leadership of a nation, which sets the tone for the spiritual atmosphere within its territory. We can see this over and over again with Israel in the Old Testament. Nations whose leaders follow after God’s heart, have His blessing upon their land. While leaders who forsake Him, bring judgement upon their people.

Another important thing to mention is that all these empires start and end with men. Some Godly, some not so.

But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and silver, but also of wood and clay, some for honor and some for dishonor. Therefore, if anyone cleanses himself from the latter, he will be a vessel for honor, sanctified and useful for the Master, prepared for every good work.

2 Titus 2:20-21

A person not walking as a vessel of honor before God, is by default a member of the kingdom of darkness and useful as a vessel of dishonor by his master, Satan. That means within any grouping or body of individuals, no matter what nation, government, kingdom, religion, etc.; we can have both light and darkness working at the same time. Any organization established by the hands of men, no matter how good it seems to be, is likely to have some elements of darkness operating within it, because that is exactly how Satan operates his kingdom. Under the cover of darkness and camouflage, disguising evil for good.

The purpose of these beast empires is simply the chastisement of God’s people as needed. In the Old Testament, we see this over and over again. When Israel’s leadership went astray, often the people would soon follow. When the nation as a whole went astray, God would raise up a beast empire to turn the people back to Him. This is most clearly displayed during the 70 year captivity of the people of Israel in Babylonia. God warned and warned his people through prophets not to go after idols or commit other sins. He was also very clear with His people about judgement coming upon them, if they went astray.  

Now let’s look at why this is important in our day.

But the angel said to me, “Why did you marvel? I will tell you the mystery of the woman and of the beast that carries her, which has the seven heads and the ten horns.

Revelation 17:7

It’s interesting that Daniel 7:17 and Revelation 17:7 are both speaking about beast empires. The relationship here in this verse is very important to understand. A woman, described as the great harlot, whose name is Mystery Babylon, rides a beast (kingdom/empire) which is comprised of many waters (Vs 17:10). Waters represents peoples, nations, multitudes and tongues (vs 17:15).

Notice that the woman is not the civil leader of this kingdom or empire. Empire is a more appropriate word since this beast kingdom is made up of many nations together. Her relationship to the nations is one of fornication with their kings (Vs. 17:2). Meaning she is not their rightful queen but a mistress… “and the inhabitants of the earth were made drunk with the wine of her fornication.”

Fornication here refers to spiritual fornication, not physical. To commit Spiritual fornication is metaphorically to engage in the sin of idolatry. Here the kings of the earth permit themselves to be drawn away by the harlot woman into idolatry. This behavior literally spills over as the peoples of this kingdom become intoxicated with her enticing words of lustful pleasure. The wine represents something which breaks down inhibitions, loosening the boundary between right and wrong, good and evil, light and darkness. She tempts in such a way as to make evil seem good and good seem evil. The effect is to lure the kings of the earth into compromising situations while taking advantage of their lusts for money, power and fame.

One final note.

Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the name of the LORD our God.

Psalm 20:7

Woe to them that go down to Egypt for help; and stay on horses, and trust in chariots, because they are many; and in horsemen, because they are very strong; but they look not unto the Holy One of Israel, neither seek the LORD! 

Isaiah 31:1

Going down to Egypt, represents putting your trust in the strength of a beast as a means of protection. God is warning us not to put our trust in any government power or authority made by man, for our protection, well being, deliverance or salvation. Instead, we are to look only onto God as our help in time of need.

Before we leave this discussion on Biblical Beasts, lets review what we learned.

• Beasts mentioned under the context of prophecy in the Bible represent earthly kingdoms or empires.
• They are used to chasten God’s people as needed.
• Beasts do not refer to spiritual kingdoms.
• In the spiritual realm there are only two kingdoms. One led by Jesus (Christ), the other led by Satan (Antichrist)
• Each of us belongs to one of these spiritual kingdoms.
• Trust in God alone, not the strength of man, governments or armies.
